It’s called

It’s called
micro-collage.
I use color from magazines to create images. The process involves cutting and tearing paper, arranging it by color, and gluing it down. I am constantly modifying those steps to learn new things about paper and about my process. The work you see on this site is the Result of that Process.
Try to focus less on the subject matter, and observe the progression from one project to the next. For example, the purpose of Gautama was using paper to create a flowing robe. The purpose of Buddhai was using paper to make a better flowing robe, which is why it has more pieces of paper. Also, the pieces in Gautama overlap, while Buddhai has no overlapping pieces.
I plan to do a live stream while working on my current project. Leave your email here if you want to tune in. I would also appreciate if anyone knows where to get a free supply of good magazines.
Thank you for visiting. Toussaint Ishmael.
